My thoughts: Julie Houston knows how to write a story with real emotion. Anna and Theo meet at university, in a very funny and memorable way.

Then something really awful happens that sours any possibility of them even being friends.

Fast forward a year – and they bump into each again. Things are different, they’re different. And sparks fly. 

But as everything seems perfect, something that changes everything happens. There’s a bit of a pattern here, whenever their relationship seems to be delightful and forever, something throws a wrench in.

And as their lives continue in this fashion, it seems like they will never finally be together. And then their children meet at university….

I loved this, complicated, messy romance, with its awful, painful moments and the wonderful highs of young love, the opportunity of mid life and then the chance of finally being together, if they can unravel the situation their children are in.
