My thoughts: this was an interesting thriller about secrets and friendship. Lauren and her friends know something about the missing Tina – something they’ve held over her since they were teenagers. Are they responsible for her disappearance?
As Lauren digs into where her former friend has gone, someone from her past resurfaces and she’s pretty sure she’s being followed. Then Jess is in a car accident, Lauren’s flat is broken into and Claire is fired – are these connected?
There’s a very odd twist at the end, one that jarred somewhat with the rest of the book, and definitely needs more explanation. However it also fills in a few gaps in the preceding narrative too, as the reader pieces together all the differing perspectives that form the story.
