My thoughts: When Sylvan Tansy Foxglove gets lost in an enchanted forest, hits her head and develops amnesia, she’s lucky that the forest’s guardian, dryad Kellen finds her and nurses her back to health. The pair find themselves falling in love, but Tansy still needs to make her way to the market in Moonshine Hollow once she starts to remember who she is and reunite with the closest thing she has to family.
Can their bond endure if Tansy returns to her life or will Kellen remain alone?

My thoughts: I really like dragons but I didn’t like the dragon in this. He’s compelled to hunt down and essentially psychically torture Tiadola to death, and he seems to find it very amusing. What Tia has to go through, in their mental battles, designed to kill her, is cruel and brutal.
There is a cute baby dragon too, and she was very sweet, but the old dragon is not. More cute baby dragon content please!
It’s also a very spicy romance too as Tia and her “stranger” fall hard for one another and with nothing to lose, as Tia is pretty sure she’ll be dead soon, they set to making the most of it. As one of my friend’s said about another book “there’s a lot of bonking going on!”
I found the politics and the different species a bit confusing to get my head round, I’m still not entirely sure what Made and Born means, but hopefully in the next book that will be expanded on more as change comes to the kingdom on the heels of war.

My thoughts: I really like this series, we’re only on book two but it’s just a lot of fun. Queen Victoria’s lady agents have to basically avoid being trapped in a marriage to some miserable sod, as they’ll have to give up their role and play domestic angel instead.
Millie’s ghastly stepmother wants to marry her off to a fossil so Millie decides to go for disgrace and being packed off away from society in order to carry on her vital work as a spy. Only she’s picked the one man who won’t back down.
Major General Beaufort Drake is an agent for the Prime Minister – and they’re investigating the same case from different angles. Can they fall in love, stop bickering and stop the trade in young women?
So much fun, a bit saucy, quite romantic (they face off against the horrible stepmother, his wet blanket of a brother and miserable sister-in-law together) and just very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

This book contains darker themes that may be triggering for some readers. Possible triggers include, but are not limited to: bullying, kidnapping, hostage situation, emotional blackmail, manipulation, dubious consent, rough sex, primal play, graphic violence, blood, gore, use of firearms, death, threat of sexual assault (not between MCs), anxiety, depression, and thoughts of self-harm. I have tried to handle all of these with care, and this story WILL have a happy ending. It’s just a rough road to get there, but if anyone can go through hell and come out stronger on the other side, it’s Avery. I hope you enjoy her story.

My thoughts: There’s a belief that the Regency period was really buttoned up and unsexy but the king and queen had 15 children, what did people think they were doing? The Prince Regent was infamous for his behaviour (he couldn’t stand his wife, but he did have lots of lovers) so in a way, although people weren’t openly having sexual relationships, there was plenty going on as long as you kept it quiet, especially in the ton.
Lady Ashby has been widowed for two years and after recovering from a breakdown following her husband’s death, she’s determined to do things on her own terms – she doesn’t want a husband, she would prefer a no strings lover, she’s got a list and wants to get through it.
She’s picked handsome Captain Leo Winterton (who served with her husband in the wars against Napoleon) to be her first option – if he says no, she also has a list for that. Thankfully he agrees to a discreet, private arrangement.
This is a very sexy book, there’s lots of sex scenes, but thankfully they’re not too cringe worthy. And of course keeping the feelings out of it, doesn’t quite work out.
I really enjoyed this, Isabella was a very modern protagonist – she knows what she wants and she goes for it. Which I loved, she’s no shrinking violet. I also liked Leo, he’s the one dealing with feelings for once and it’s a refreshing change to the female lead with the crush.
